Founded
in 1993, By a group of educated professionals with the
objective to provide basic health services, education
facilities to poor and needy people Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Sewa Society (Regd.), Chandigarh is a non-profit making
organization that seeks to promote the welfare of underprivileged
people and community at large. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sewa
Society(Regd.) is registered under the Societies Registration
Act, 1860 as a non profit making organization also having
exemption of income tax under Sec 80 C.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Society(Regd.) is financially
supported by 500 families, as well revenues are generated
from its non-profit making activities.
Our services towards the community have always been on
the forefront, with a strong focus on healthcare.
"Health for all; serve the community with determination
& devotion". This is the motto our team works
with - carrying out various community services.
To improve quality of medical facilities, we have set
up Dr. S. Inderjit Singh Charitable Hosptial which have
various centres including Dialysis Centre, Gynecology
Department, Eye Department, Scannings, Laboratory Services,
Dental Clinic, Cardiology Department, Homeopathy OPD and
General Physician availability. Other services of the
society include 24 hours Ambulance & Funeral van service,
Mobile Dental clinic and camps, Mobile Eye Care Centre,
Medicines and Implants Sewa, Mata Sahib Kaur Bhalai Kendra(Bibian),
Marriage of Girls from poor families and holding various
blood donation camps. We charge public just the costing
for certain facilities where anyone from public can avail
these facilities. Our Diagnostic centre rates are just
1/4th of market rates. All the services are free for poor
and needy people.
At the forefront of community service, we at Sri Guru
Granth Sahib Sewa Society(Regd.) go the extra mile to
provide resources to underdeveloped communities. We arrange
marriages of girls from poor families, provide medicines
and orthopedic implants to the poor and accidental victims
in emergency of PGI and GMCH-32. Our Mata Sahib Kaur Bhalai
Kendra(Bibian) arranges for monthly ration of 125 needy
families as well as text and note books are provided to
the children of needy families. Our ambulances patrol
on highways in the Chandigarh vicinity in night hours
to pick any accident victims.
